CREATING A BOND
WITH NATURE
RESTORING & REPLANTING NEW ZEALAND'S NATIVE FORESTS
80% OF AOTEAROA USED TO BE MADE UP OF NATIVE FORESTS. NOW LESS THAN 28% REMAINS.
Our native forests are unique and deeply important…but they’re under threat.
At Biobonds, we plant and protect native forests in New Zealand. Your support turns damaged, erosion-prone land into thriving ecosystems that absorb carbon, restore biodiversity, and support community wellbeing.
With every donation or tree you sponsor, we plant native trees, monitor growth, and protect forests. These forests help clean the air, support native species, and create spaces where people and nature flourish together.
YOU GIVE
Your support funds native forest projects and helps us to bring life back to damaged land.
WE PLANT
Native trees are carefully planted in areas of New Zealand that need them most.
WE PROTECT
Each forest is monitored and cared for to ensure it is sustained and protected for years to come.
WE RESTORE
Together, we rebuild ecosystems, support wildlife, and strengthen our climate.
WHY BIOBONDS
Forests Are the Foundation
Native forests support life. They shape the land, keep rivers clean, cool the air, and give home to unique birds and insects. When forests thrive, nature thrives and so do we.
WHAT’S LOST AFFECTS US ALL
Indigenous forests now cover less than 30 % of Aotearoa’s land. Even in recent decades, small patches of native forest continue to be lost mainly to farmland and other land uses. This loss shrinks habitat and makes it harder for nature to bounce back.
RESTORING FORESTS CREATES OUR FUTURE
Planting and protecting native forests helps reverse damage we’ve made. Trees absorb carbon, rebuild soil and habitat, and bring life back to the land. When we restore forests now and protect them forever, we strengthen nature for our future generations.
